The mood of the film is adventurous, as it is mostly fast-paced to emphasize on action and the activity happening within the film.

·         The film emphasizes on many medium and long shots -- emphasize on action and setting of the film

·         Lighting employed is mostly relatively low -- mostly to emphasize on setting than anything else. There is very bright lighting towards the end of the film to signal intense action

·         Narration of the film is dynamic, helps audience empathize with characters and what is going on in the film

·         Characters are well fleshed out for an adventure fantasy -- the protagonist is not the "typical" adventure protagonist in a sense that he is not as strong as we normally expect him to be, but he is very intelligent.

It is important to respect other people's culture and to preserve that culture and their history .

·         Emphasis on characters and their actions helps to deliver the message very clearly
·         The plot of the film feels slightly weak due to that, but it still contributes well to delivering that message

How do you think the filmmakers wanted the audience to respond?

·         Filmmakers may have wanted the audience to see how important it is to respect and preserve the culture of another group of people -- the usage of the Atlantis people and presenting them as "a dying culture" and how Kida wishes to preserve the culture by whatever means she can brings that message across clearly

·         The film feels realistic even though it is a fantasy movie
·         I feel that the film tackles complicated messages in a realistic way and that is one core strength of the film
